headache

Ever feel like that man up there? That's how I'm feeling right about now.
AUGHHHHH!

So it all started out with me just thinking a little about tax returns today. When I am gonna get my stuff filed, making sure I get all my W-2 info collected...that kind of stuff. In the past, I have just done my own, because it was simple. But, it has been awhile so I wondered to myself if I could remember how to do it this year. And then I realized some really important facts about my life from the past year. I have:

-worked in 2 different states
-had 4 different jobs (three in one state, one in another)
-changed my tax filing status from single to joint (on one job)
-got married and had a name change (for one job) to boot!

I have no clue how to even begin to approach this. Any suggestions for what to do? Would it be worth it to just hire someone to deal with the headache/mess for me instead?

We've always done ours on turbo tax online. Except for the first year after we got married because we didn't know we could do it online. But, yours does sound pretty complicated. You could always try just doing it yourself, (turbo tax guides you through everything) and if it gets crazy, just find someone. You don't pay turbotax until you have filed. You can also do it online at H&R Block - and then you could always just go to one of their offices and have them help you. Good luck!

Wow, yours does sound complicated. I am very impressed that you could do it yourself before since I have always had to go to H&R Block. Then again, math and all that type of jazz was never my strong point. You were always a bit on the brighter side than I. Ü Hmm, so, my advice would be to go to one of their offices. They talk you through it and won't miss anything. Then again, you're smart enough to do it on one of those online deals and it won't be nearly as expensive. I remember when I had Utah and Washington taxes, they did charge me a little extra for dual states. So, I'm not much help, but good luck! Ü
